Buy the material that fits the job, and make the brand prove it fits. Get those three decisions right, and the brand factor becomes a confirmation, not a guess.
The same logic applies to a rubber flap. A flap's main job is to seal a gap and still get out of the way of a forklift. Thickness, durometer, and mounting geometry matter more than the logo printed on the rubber. I've bought premium flaps that underperformed simply because the opening was slightly oversized.

Same problem applies to a rubber flap. If the flap is too stiff, forklift drivers hit it and crack the brackets. If it's too soft, it curls and leaves a gap. A standard 3/16-inch rubber flap with the right durometer will outperform a premium flap with the wrong one. Start with thickness and hardness, then compare brands.
We've ordered strip curtains in quantities as small as 100 linear feet. The vendor that helped us work through overlap charts without making us feel like a nuisance is still on our approved list. That’s my small-friendliness test: place a small order and see how the supplier responds.

- Polypropylene tubes are translucent, flexible, more chemically resistant, and autoclavable. Use them for aggressive solvents, high-speed centrifugation, or high-temperature work.
So the question "polystyrene vs polypropylene tubes" isn't a brand question. It's a chemistry and process question. The best brand in the world can't make polystyrene survive conditions that attack it. When you need clarity, choose polystyrene. When you need chemical resistance, choose polypropylene.
Cost-wise, polystyrene is usually cheaper on the purchase order. Polypropylene can be cheaper in total cost if your protocol allows cleaning and reuse. But if your lab or plant says single-use, reusing polypropylene to save money is a compliance risk, not a saving. That nuance gets missed in a lot of sourcing reviews.

After six years of purchase orders, here's my honest take: the Pirelli brand matters when you are accountable for performance, not when you just need a commodity strip.
