Here's what you need to know: comparing nitrile vs rubber is basically a category error. Nitrile is a synthetic rubber. When an engineer writes 'rubber' on a spec, they usually mean natural rubber, or sometimes EPDM. The real comparison is between material families—and the real decision depends on what the part will touch, how fast you need it, and what a missed deadline costs.
